What we do
The Mission of The Ranch Cat Rescue is to provide a safe environment to cats in need through rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming. We advocate for cats and help to educate the public so together we can work to save the lives of cats and kittens.
The Ranch operates from a 12 acre farm property in Bloomington Indiana. With over 5,000 square feet dedicated to our average of 150 feline residents at any time, including our founder who provides 24/7 care.
We are permitted and inspected annually by Animal Care and Control and adhere to all state and local laws. We're grateful to have a Veterinarian on staff and many amazing volunteers to assist us with regular and rigorous care of our cats.
We are 501(c)3 nonprofit funded solely on donations. The Ranch is owned and operated by Alison Zook, Resident Human and Executive Director.
Our Beliefs
At the heart of our work is a deep respect for life and a commitment to ethical, evidence-based practices. We believe in upholding human rights, equality, and justice for all, and we rely on science to guide our understanding and actions.
We firmly believe that vaccines are real, effective, and essential to public and animal health. These principles are central to our mission and the safety of our community.
Our respect for science, belief in human rights, and commitment to the truth are foundational to creating a safe, compassionate, and inclusive environment for both humans and animals alike.
